We had to pick a painting on the wall and draw it.
We started a portrait of Glynn Vivian
Glynn Vivian was an art collector who became blind.
We had to give our opinions on the portrait.
We had to choose one of the artefacts that interested us and sketch it.
We chose to draw a china cup.
They were quite tricky to draw because there was a great deal of detail.
I drew a plate. I had to take my time to capture all the detail.
These are from the Meager Collection.
This was a flower basket on a plate and I had to sketch a close-up of the flowers.
We had to choose a section of a picture and draw it.
We had three landscape to choose from.
We had to look particularly for colour and shape.
We only had to sketch a small section.
I like this painting because it has different colours and patterens.
I like this painting because the plants looked real.
I picked this because I thought it looked easy to draw.
The colours were difficult to mix though.
the colours were quite dull.
This was a large sculpture of in the centre of the gallery.
We had to go back to the workshop to paint our sketches.
We were taught how to use a water colour palette.
We had to pay close attention to detail. We all painted our sketches - it was enjoyable but more difficult than we expected.
I was really pleased with what I achieved.
I chose the garden - it was very difficult to stop the colours from running into each other.
